Ryan Meachen is a restorative justice practitioner with facilitation and training experience in tertiary education and workplace contexts.

At University, Ryan gained a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Justice at Victoria University studying under Professor Chris Marshall and Dr Tom Noakes-Duncan. Ryan has since gained an MBA and is currently studying towards a PhD in Organisational Behaviour.

Ryan was born and raised in Heretaunga (Hastings) and Pāharakeke (Flaxmere). His whakapapa connects him to Tainui waka — Ngāti Te Wehi (Tainui) and Ngāti Huia (Raukawa), as well as Pākehā ancestry (English, Danish)

Ryan is also active in volunteer work at Rimutaka prison. He facilitates a programme that helps men develop their own vision of personal success and who they wish to become.
